The ECM Workbank project is developing and testing a new employment model for those working with children's services, delivering the Every Child Matters agenda.

The ECM Workbank will facilitate flexible and responsive working. High quality child-centred support is assured, whether delivered by individual workers or cross-disciplinary teams. The ECM Workbank approach helps with both recruitment and retention by offering individuals a supportive working environment that will adapt to their individual circumstance.

How The ECM Workbank is different

• a unique provision of a cross-disciplinary, multi-professional service
• an organisation owned and run by its Partners, encouraging professional development and training, and providing peer support mechanisms
• it seeks diverse funding sources to offer continuity of service, including direct payments by users, allowing children and families more flexibility
